This video records a quiet walk through Jiangyuan Ancient Residence Complex, a historic village in Tongshan County, Hubei Province, China.
First built around 1573 during the Ming Dynasty, Jiangyuan has a history of more than 440 years. The village was mainly settled by the descendants of Wang Shao, a military general of the Northern Song Dynasty.
Today, 11 well-preserved Ming and Qing dynasty buildings remain, surrounded by forests, rivers, and traditional village life at the foot of Jiugong Mountain.
