D: define the PI
If your PI is “Describe the uses of grades and standards in marketing” then you ought to define grades and standards.
EX: "Standards specify a product’s size, contents, and quality. They are the basis for comparison and used to establish uniform, consistent products. On the other hand, grades are ratings that specify to what extent the standards are met."

E: example of the PI
EX: “There are eight grades for beef, three each for chickens, eggs and turkeys. On the other hand, there are 45 grades for cotton, 32 grade standards and specifications for dairy products, and more than 312 fruit, vegetable, and specialty product standards."

C: connect the PI to your presentation. Why is what you just said relevant to this scenario?
EX: "Standards and grades are important for marketing because they can indicate value to consumers and sometimes, proper usage. The more informed a consumer is, the better their needs can be served. We ought to keep this idea in mind with… [more details about prompt]"
