Texas just awarded $25 million to help build Phase 3A of the Cotton Belt Trail, a major bike-and-pedestrian connector running alongside DART’s Silver Line. This funding will help create safe walk and bike access directly to key transit stops like Cypress Waters, Addison, and Downtown Carrollton, making it easier to get around without a car as the region grows.
That’s just part of nearly $30 million in state support for walkability and bike projects across the area — a sign that North Texas is investing in healthier, more connected communities.
