Presenting with this first video a series of 10 playalong video's. What's this about, you ask? Allow me to explain. I'm a full time drum teacher, and I love using playalongs during my lessons. Even the youngest of my students, once they learn a groove, I teach them how to play a song and playalongs are the perfect tools for that. So you can understand I've got quite a few books containing playalongs and I'm only happy to share them with you.
This first one comes from a wonderful starting and intermediate method written by the Dutch drummer Paul Reijenga called "Playing Drums, Serious Fun", and I can tell you, it sure is! My students love the book, the playalongs are very well recorded and sound great, the study material is well presented, challenging you bit by bit and then incorporating it in a song. Also in the drum charts the author leaves space for your own interpretation, leaving it up to you to change grooves and add your own fills at the right place. This is my version, but how would yours sound like?
