Making it work with 1/5 Archer (Kalos Champion Stadium, etc.) [Pokemon Masters EX]

I got Archer from the free Team Rocket Executive ticket, and if I ranked the four executives from the one I most wanted to the one I least wanted from the ticket... he would rank fourth lmao. I think all four of them have some neat niches and it's great that we even get one of them for free, but I would've definitely preferred getting one of the other three, especially since I'm comparing their 1/5 kits.

But since I ended up with him, I figured I'd make the most out of it. As a Sprint unit whose sync acceleration shenanigans can all be done at the start of a clear, he's a good asset for fast CSMM clears. That's also why I gave him Head Start 1 as a lucky skill.

Here's how each battle went and the sync grids used:

Head Start 1 at base + Head Start 1 LS + TM means Archer can skip a full turn at CS. Pairing him with another unit who can do so means you can get to sync quite quickly. What adds to Archer's niche in this aspect is that his TM is an AOE buffing move, so comboing it with someone like Lear can lead to some fun numbers. Anni May completed the team with her Psychic Terrain.

Archer's front-loaded sync acceleration shenanigans make him a good partner to Event Victor, who appreciates being able to sync faster to make better use of both of his Ghost Zones. Torchic completes Victor's buffs and also tanks well enough thanks to Victor's physical shield.

At 1/5, Archer has two multipliers: Hunter's Instinct and an innate Cakewalk. He has AOE Speed debuffs to set both of those up, though it takes him a while to do so. NC Calem gives him the buffs he needs as well as Dark Zone, while Nanu provided flinches and Defense debuffs.

I don't think I could've done this video without pairing Archer with his favorite person in the world. Speed debuffs mean Archer is a counter to Raikou, and with Classic Giovanni having pretty much everything he needs I figured it was a straightforward duo.

Sprint shenanigans. Having all three makes for some funny sync acceleration strats. It helps that all three of them have ways to support their teammates on top of doing respectable damage so this isn't as imbalanced of a team comp as it appears.
