Through all the processes (digital amp modelling, audio interface, wave editor and YouTube, etc.) the audio turns out to be heavily compressed. Thus the differences can be harder to tell.
Personally the EB Slinkys are more organic, have more mids, and a smoother surface for the feeling. The NYXLs have more output, more clarity though a little bit stiffer feeling on the wound strings(which is not that hard to get used to).
The NYXLs seem to have less tension because the spring tension on the floating system has to be lowered in order to balance with the strings.
The guitar used in this video was an Ibanez rgd3127 with stocked Dimarzio Fusion Edge pickups. Both string sets were in the same gauge - .09~.46 set on the 1st~6th strings with an additional .56 on the 7th. Standard tuning while the guitar has a slightly longer scale(26.5").
Other gears used:
Ibanez JTC guitar pick
Providence cables
Atomic Amplifire amp models
Ownhammer IRs
Focusrite Scarlett
