Housing worries, emigration & mental health – survey reveals issues facing young people

Описание: The majority (70pc) of 25-year-olds in Ireland are still living with their parents, mostly for financial reasons, while the overwhelming majority worry about the housing situation in Ireland, a new CSO study has shown.

Of those still living in the parental home, more than six in 10 (62.4pc) were doing so for mostly financial reasons.

Some 7.5pc of respondents were living outside both the parental home and outside the region they had lived in when they were aged nine. Just 3.8pc of respondents said they owned their own home, however some 80pc said they expected to buy a home in the future.
