TM Eye Senior Detectives Albert Patrick and David McKelvey discuss the arrival of an international contract killer in the UK just weeks before the murder of John Palmer, known as “Goldfinger”.
TM Eye established that Imre Arakas entered the UK via an Essex port shortly before Palmer was killed.
Subsequently:
• Arakas has been named on social media by individuals close to the Kinahan cartel as being responsible for Palmer’s murder
• Arakas is currently serving a prison sentence in Lithuania for two assassinations
• He was also convicted in Ireland for attempting to murder James Gately, an enemy of the Kinahan cartel
Despite this, Essex Police have never formally followed up this lead.
The timing, movements, and background raise serious unanswered questions.
