Vineet Gupta says that the Government of India seeks to reform and transform the education sector in India with the New Education Policy 2020. Foreign universities may be able to set their own fees, which will be an important factor for them. According to my understanding, fee structures will be affordable for Indian students. The fees these universities charge should certainly not be the same as those they charge in their own countries. While top universities like Harvard or Yale might not open campuses in India so easily due to brand dilution concerns, many other foreign universities are already considering setting up branches in the country. As NEP 2020 allows for multi-disciplinary and interdisciplinary courses in the higher education sector, these foreign universities have been establishing such models for decades now, making them a perfect choice for boosting India's higher education sector with their experienced faculty and research labs.
