Описание: Cup Weekend 2023 - We camped 2 nights in the High Country in the swag this time round; we hit up Moscow Villa Hut in the Bentley Plains, taking on Camp Oven Gap. We saw the Washington Winch before settling in at Limestone Creek, near the Cobberas mountains an hour or so out of Omeo. A beautiful open plain where the brumbies generally visit alongside the running creek; some caves along side and not far from the source of the Murray. We then trekked to the border past Native Dog, Suggan Buggan, and endured the Barry Way alongside the Snowy River. Potholes aside; the lookouts and views are amazing. Lunch in Jindabyne; a pale ale at Thredbo before descending to Tom Groggin, which ambles beside the Murray River on the NSW side. The camping views were amazing; looking up to Kosciuszko and the Snowy Mountains above; Pinnabar to the West; and Kangaroos giving us mischief at dinner time. A long trip in the car saw us see Geehi Hut up Alpine Way toward Khancoban; cross back into Victoria and hit up Falls Creek via Corryong; Yackandandah; Mt Beauty and the awesome views of Mt Bogong. We did the short walk into Wallace Hut; which may just be my favourite, before heading back to Gippsland via Bogong Plains; Omeo Valley Highway and the Great Alpine Road. Great trip.
