A red letter day this metal detecting session was! I returned to the field in the previous video as me and Wayno had 6 hammered from this field a week prior, this session I took my gridding flags to help me cover the space more tightly to ensure I’m not missing anything. I covered about 1/3rd of the field and it produced 4 more hammered coins and 2 silver milled along with a fractured cannon ball, pot leg and tonnes of musket balls. Could this potentially be a Medieval market field….who knows.
