STILLHEARTH: EPISODE ONE THROUGH TEN RECAP!

Stillhearth began when the party came together for the first time. The flamboyant Aeris met the cloaked and mysterious Vasileios, while the earnest Ruby pulled her studious brother Briar into an adventure, and the formidable Zimra talked to her horse. They converged on the road, guided by Vasileios to a secluded house belonging to an elderly and mysterious, Mama Orana. After a tense room-sharing negotiation between Zimra and Ruby, the group settled in. Soon after, Mama Orana sent them to the town of Whittlewheet for groceries, with Vas as their guide. This errand quickly escalated when they discovered a local farm was plagued by spirits possessing the flora and fauna. After fighting off animated corn and a necrotic chicken, they parlayed with a spirit rabbit named Lean, who tasked them with finding the one who wronged her in exchange for her cooperation.

Returning to the house, the group had a quiet evening. Vasileios helped Aeris with his dueling stance revealing an unspoken past connection between the two, Mama and Ruby had a magic lesson veiled as a cooking session, and Zimra held a 'girls' night' to get the scoop on her new companions. Mama Orana gave them their next mission: travel to the grand town of Ortbury Orchard to collect gossip. Arriving in Ortbury Orchard, the party learned of Blink Blast, a new energy drink endorsed by the legendary adventurer Dolionne Bahadura. They secured a VIP tour of the factory, where Ruby and Vas separated and uncovered the dark truth. The drink caused horrific side effects, and the factory head, Uluma Fentra, was being blackmailed, with her children held hostage. While Vasileios incapacitated a guard with deadly silence, Ruby stole incriminating files.

To cover their escape, Ruby, in a moment of panic and newfound confidence, cast a spell to create a mess. The spell spiraled out of control, becoming a massive Chaos Bolt that obliterated the office they had just burgled. Amid the ensuing alarm and evacuation, Zimra made a bold move, hoisting Uluma onto her horse and kidnapping her. While Vas heroically swooped Aeris onto horseback for their escape. Uluma confessed her situation and directed them toward a town bordering a magical bog. That night, Vasileios departed without a word, leaving his signature butterfly pin behind. The party found the town grim and oppressive but located Uluma's children, a young half-orc and a teenage tiefling named Fobin, hiding in the Barrow's Roost inn.

Their search for a way to free the town led them to the library, where a secret portal to a 'dungeon' was hidden in plain sight. After several failed attempts to enter, a strange feeling overcame Aeris and he used magic to shatter the powerful illusion that had concealed the town's true form. The cozy inn dissolved into a hellscape of blood and viscera. A horrifying, hydra-like creature made of flesh erupted from the floor. The monster immediately targeted Ruby and Aeris. In a flash of instinct, draconic wings burst from Zimra’s back to shield the two, but the attack was too strong. The blow knocked Ruby unconscious, and she was dragged away into the fleshy maw of the dungeon as the party watched in horror....
