I visited The Crosse Keys in London, one of the biggest and most impressive Wetherspoons pubs, to try a classic British favourite — fish and chips.
But when I got there… they had run out of fish.
So instead, I ended up trying a very British backup meal — sausage, chips and beans — while exploring one of the most spectacular pub interiors in the UK.
The Crosse Keys isn’t just any Wetherspoons. This enormous pub was originally built in 1913 as the Hong Kong & Shanghai Bank headquarters, and today it features:
• Marble pillars
• A huge vaulted glass ceiling
• A stunning historic banking hall
• Seating for over 1,000 people
It’s easily one of the most unique Wetherspoons pubs in Britain.
So was the food still worth it… even without the fish?
