Good morning, outcasts. We survived another one. ❄️
The storm wasn’t quite as bad as they warned, but that doesn’t change what’s weighing on my mind today: the seniors and the homeless sleeping in cars, vans, and on sidewalks in this brutal cold.
In this winter storm check-in from my 23-foot camper in the deep woods, I’m warm, the diesel heater’s running, the wood stove is ready, and the fur family is safe and cozy. I know how lucky that makes me, and how many people out there don’t have that kind of shelter.
In this video, we talk about:
Homeless seniors and others trying to survive in vehicles during dangerous wind chills.
How our system has turned basic survival into something that gets punished and ignored.
The way our attention is pulled to big national talking points (like immigration) while our own elderly, poor, and vulnerable freeze at home.
Why I believe change has to come through peaceful conversation, community, and solutions, not riots and violence.
The “great disconnect” how phones, tech, and distraction have made it too easy to walk past people in crisis.
A big question I’m starting to dig into: these massive 2,000-mile storms and the ongoing debate about weather modification and geoengineering.
I’m not a conspiracy guy, I believe in evidence-based science, but I do believe in asking hard questions. So I’ll be spending some time researching what’s really going on with these storms, and that may become a full episode soon.
In the meantime, if you’re safe and warm, please don’t forget the folks who aren’t:
➡️ An extra blanket, a hot meal, a kind word, or a ride to somewhere warm can literally save a life in weather like this.
🗣 Join the conversation:
Do you remember storms being this huge 40–50 years ago?
How are winters changing where you live?
What small things are you doing to help people around you in hard times?
This channel isn’t about doom for doom’s sake. It’s about starting a real, national conversation, peacefully, seeking solutions and building a community that looks out for each other when the system doesn’t.
Thank you for being here, for your comments, and for caring. Stay safe, stay off the roads if you can, hug your fur family, and as always…
Let’s rise together. 🖤
