I produced a documentary for law enforcement in the State of California's Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST) on how to recognize and respond to autistic individuals. Autism is a developmental disorder that is marked by difficulties in communication skills, social interactions, other behaviors such as play or leisure activities. This training is important because in a critical situation, autistics need to be treated with compassion and gentleness.
