Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma welcomed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's upcoming visit to Guwahati to pay tribute to the late Assamese music legend Zubeen Garg. Sarma, however, noted the delay, stating that Gandhi is arriving "after 28 days" since the event, and contrasted it with the absence of a Congress leader during the funeral of another legend, Bhupen Hazarika, but concluded by welcoming Gandhi's decision to finally come for Zubeen Garg.
