Stalwart Defense is a hard difficulty main quest in Dead Island: Riptide given by Trevor Rogers during Chapter 5. In this mission, the Hero must defend the Santa Maria Mission while Trevor pumps water out of the entrance to the Japanese Tunnels. The loud pump attracts waves of zombies, turning the mission into an intense siege defense. Set up your defenses carefully—place miniguns in strong positions, deploy mines around the area, and repair fences to slow the undead. Fight through multiple waves of zombies while protecting the mission. Use miniguns wisely to take down powerful enemies like Thugs, Floaters, and Butchers. Between waves, restock mines and repair defenses to prepare for the next attack. Survive all the waves, complete the pumping process, and talk to Trevor to finish the quest and unlock access to the tunnels.
