Odisha rolls out free bus service for NEET-UG candidates

Описание: The Odisha government has announced free bus travel for candidates appearing in the NEET-UG re-examination scheduled for June 21, offering major relief to thousands of students.

According to a notification issued by the Commerce and Transport Department, NEET-UG candidates will be allowed to travel free of cost on Odisha State Road Transport Corporation buses by showing their admit cards. The initiative aims to ensure that students can reach their examination centres without transportation difficulties.

A total of 56,983 candidates are expected to appear for the re-examination at 134 centres across the state.

The move follows a similar decision by the Punjab government, which announced free travel on Punjab Roadways buses for NEET-UG candidates and one parent or guardian between June 20 and June 22.

The initiative is expected to reduce travel stress and provide better accessibility for students appearing in one of the country's most important entrance examinations.
