Salil Chowdhury’s music has fascinated me for many years - ever since the time I first listened to the endlessly complex yet melodic numbers in the “Lata sings for Salil” album that played over and over again on our tape-recorder.
While Ki je kori has always been my favorite composition, mostly because of its exceptional melody and fascinating interludes, the song I am posting today is another gem: a beautifully arranged melodically complex composition with a intricate bass-line. Recorded at home with the very talented Darshana Menon and Pankaj Kanth.
