The Ndife Amodzi (We Are One) was an educational theatre albinism awareness campaign implemented in 2018. It was commissioned by UN Women Malawi, with support from DFID, targeting eleven public schools. It was rolled out in four districts in Malawi, namely Kasungu, Machinga, Mulanje and Zomba.
The project used theatre-based techniques, radio drama and peer learning to empower young people to interrogate widespread myths about the nature of people with albinism and capacitated them to take an active role in supporting, promoting and protecting the rights of persons with albinism in Malawi. It reached over 6,000 young people and over 200, 000 people via its radio drama programmes.
