On September 14, besides celebrating the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, the Church also honors Saint Albert of Jerusalem (1149–1214).
Saint Albert was a bishop in Italy and later Patriarch of Jerusalem. He is best known as the lawgiver of the Carmelite Order, writing their first Rule of Life. He worked for peace and justice, guiding the Church with wisdom and courage. In 1214, he was martyred, giving his life in service to Christ and His people.
In this episode of Catechism for Kids, children will learn:
✅ Who Saint Albert of Jerusalem was
✅ How he helped give the Carmelites their first Rule of Life
✅ Why he is remembered as a wise leader and martyr of the Church
Saint Albert reminds us that serving God often means guiding others in faith and being ready to give our lives for Christ.
📖 Catechism for Kids helps children (and families!) grow in their Catholic faith through joyful, simple, and faith-filled lessons about saints, sacraments, feast days, and Scripture.
