He accused YSRCP leaders, the then municipal commissioner, and contractors of diverting funds illegally and demanded a vigilance inquiry into the scam. According to the MP, funds meant for building houses for the poor were misused, and even construction materials were siphoned off in collusion with a contractor from Nellore. He stated that these irregularities were exposed through the Right to Information Act. He announced that he would write to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav, and the District Collector, seeking strict action.
