THIS is the most beautiful town you'll ever see | Sintra, Pena Palace, Moorish Castle

Описание: Join us for a day hike through the magical Sintra! This is the closest you will feel to being in a magical fairytale land, from medieval palaces to beautiful alleyways and gardens. Exploring this town really exceeded our expectations! Many people do a day tour to Pena Palace but miss all the amazing scenery, houses and gardens that lead up to the palace. We got a walking route recommended to us by a local, so we decided to follow it and take you along the journey and share our raw impressions.

For this day hike we recommend starting early in the day because there is a LOT to see and we didn't have enough time at the end to see the full gardens of Pena Palace after the sun set. But that didn't stop us from seeing other amazing sights along the way. Our local friend also recommended to explore the main street of Sintra and Moorish Castle in one day, and then go explore Pena Palace on another day. We were pushed for time and so we did it all in one day and still enjoyed it. But it was a lot of walking up hills and stairs so keep that in mind!

We went in off season too (December), so it was easy to buy tickets on the spot at The Moorish Castle and Pena Palace. But if you're going during high season, definitely book ahead because there's limited spots available (especially for Pena Palace as there's only certain time slots you can enter inside the palace). However if you just want to see the gardens and outside of Pena Palace, I think you should be fine with tickets. But for high peak season it's better to be safe than sorry. You also get a discount if you buy the tickets a few days ahead of time.

Going in December was fun because there was a lot of pop up Christmas stalls and events going on. This would be amazing to bring your kids.
