U Vystřelenýho oka (Shot Out Eye) is where affordability meets the local charm of the Lower Zizkov district. You won't find a cozier dive bar than this one. Get there before five and you'll be able to get a spot next to the fire. The atmosphere is welcoming and laid back. However be aware that this is a local bar that is not commonly frequented by large groups. If you do go, please respect the atmosphere by not being obnoxious and loud.
Located in the gritty district of lower Zizkov, much of the area is currently experiencing a lot of revitalization so take this one in before it gets overtaken by hipsters. The outside courtyard hosts a variety of concerts and also has direct access to the nature walk located right behind it. My recommendation would be to walk up the hill, look at the view of Prague from the Vitkov Monument, then head down the hill and get a couple beers and a meal here. The food available is the most basic of Czech classics. Things like Fried Cheese, Schnitzel, fries, and the like. It's affordably priced and the best beer food you could ask for on a budget. Once you're full stick around for a concert, or head further down the hill to Kasarna Karlin which is located just a five minute walk away.
This is an unpretentious bar, with cheap beer and good food. Can't recommend it enough if you are someone looking for something off the beaten path, and truly with a local flavor. An absolute hidden gem within Prague and the type of dive bar you dreamed of before coming to Prague
