Apocalypse Fashion: Dressing for Dystopia!

Описание: Michelle wanted a hazmat suit for her birthday(!) For real.
I finally got her one. We decided to have an Apocalypse fashion show.
We got a Plague Doctor mask (& plushes) as well.
We're a little different! We love fashion, Halloween & staying safe through the pandemic so this video is like a combination of all that.... Plus we're home 24-7 & we do fun stuff like this now & then to break the monotony.
All kidding aside, I believe that most people are becoming too complacent & dropping their guard. They want to believe COVID is over but the threat is worse than ever because the latest variants (BA5 & centaurus) are more transmissible, you can be infected & RE-INFECTED & now people aren't even wearing masks. They're traveling & going in large crowds. They ignore the risk of Long Covid, which is mass disabling. At least 1 in 5 will wind up disabled. Everyone thinks it won't happen to them. But it can happen even after a mild or asymptomatic case. Many want to believe that COVID is mild but it can cause immune system damage, organ damage & inflammation. It can lead to other infections. Everyone should avoid infection!
Better to be safe than sorry.
Most of the Western world has chosen to let it rip & drop all mitigations now.
Some places, like China, are staying extra cautious. They're playing the long game. They know that health is wealth & you can't have a functioning economy if you disable your workforce. The effects of mass infections can be seen already with supply issues, cancelled flights etc.
Not saying that hazmat suits are necessary but with SARS2 Omicron BA5 spreading out of control & now monkeypox out there as well, it's best to avoid infection & the more layers of protection the better. WearAMask N95 COVID is airborne. Monkeypox is airborne AND surface. Anyone can catch it. Limit contacts. Avoid fabrics that may be contaminated.

It's a dystopian world but humour is a survival mechanism.
I'm grateful that my girl has adapted & wants to stay home, stay safe. She's happy & healthy. I can't ask for more than that.
