Rod Serling created, wrote, produced, and narrated the classic anthology television series for 5 years beginning in 1959. This is a show that has passed the test of time by still managing to be one of the most influential pieces of media when it comes to sci-fi horror. Scratch that, you can most definitely see influences in any genre or form of entertainment.
