Curious about the inner workings of a Ferrari V8 flat-plane engine?
In this short video, watch a detailed representation using a V8 Lego model.
The underside view reveals an insight into the firing order as tiny valves open and close in realistic sequence.
The crankshaft rotation opens select valves as the chains drive the quad cam system which operates them until it completing the 720-degree revolution cycle.
The top view (which can be viewed in one of my other shorts) shows the inlet valves and throttle body function, while the underside shown represents the exhaust valve sequencing.
