Sensex trading flat, Rupee gains 12 paise against dollar

Описание: The market has been trading flat on Tuesday today, as global investors remained cautious as the acrimonious US presidential election campaign entered its final week. Among BSE sectoral indices, metal index gained the most by 2.18 per cent while consumer durables index was down 0.98 per cent. Top five Sensex gainers are HDFC, GAIL, M&M, Lupin and ICICI Bank. On the other hand, major losers are ONGC, Axis Bank, Infosys, TCS and Sun Pharma. The benchmark BSE Sensex recovered about 41 points in early trade on encouraging infrastructure growth amid a mixed trend in Asian markets. The rupee has gained 12 paise to 66.67 against the US dollar on increased selling of American currency by exporters and banks amid a higher opening in the domestic stock market.
