Akshat Baldwa, born blind, grew up studying in a Hindi-medium government school before entering an English-medium law programme. Although the transition posed significant challenges, the 25-year-old was determined and a hard worker. He cleared the civil services exam in his first attempt, secured AIR 173. “I could not believe it when I heard my rank,” Baldwa said. Speaking about his preparation, he added: “Anyone can do it if they work hard and are okay with FOMO.”
