Описание: Just days after becoming Bangladesh's Prime Minister, Tarique Rahman has carried out a major reshuffle in the army. Orders issued on Sunday included new appointments to operational and intelligence positions. Brigadier General MD Hafizur Rahman, the Defence Advisor stationed in India, has been promoted to Major General. He has been recalled and appointed General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 55th Infantry Division.

बांग्लादेश का प्रधानमंत्री बनने के कुछ दिन बाद ही तारिक रहमान ने सेना में बड़े पैमाने पर फेरबदल किया गया है। रविवार को जारी आदेशों में ऑपरेशनल और इंटेलिजेंस पदों पर नई नियुक्तियां की गईं।भारत में तैनात रक्षा सलाहकार ब्रिगेडियर जनरल एमडी हाफिजुर रहमान को मेजर जनरल पद पर प्रमोट किया गया है। उन्हें वापस बुलाकर 55वीं इन्फैंट्री डिविजन का जनरल ऑफिसर कमांडिंग (GOC) नियुक्त किया गया है।
