A bad news for electricity consumers as the federal government has decided to increase electricity prices under the fuel price adjustment mechanism. A request has been submitted for an increase of 81 paisa per unit for the month of May under fuel price adjustment. The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has scheduled a hearing on this application for June 30, submitted by CPPA.
