Tennis Serve Grips
Semi-Western Forehand Grip: IMMEDIATELY CHANGE TO CONTINENTAL (be patient because the transition will be tough and it will take time). With a semi-western serve grip, you might be able to tap the ball in, but pronation into the contact is impossible, as well as executing slice and kick serves.
Eastern Forehand Grip: IMMEDIATELY CHANGE TO CONTINENTAL (be patient because transition can be challenging and it can take time; however, some players might be able to switch quickly since progress time depends on muscle memory). With an eastern forehand grip, you might be able to deliver decent flat serves, but pronation into the contact will be suboptimal. You will also have difficulty executing kick and slice serves.
Australian Grip: [Base knuckle positioned between eastern (3) and continental (2)]
I recommend switching to continental, since all 3 serves can be stuck with it; however, the Australian grip can work well for flat serves. Full pronation at contact is possible, but be aware that there might be difficulties delivering kick and slice serves. Top servers like Becker and Rafter have used the Australian grip on their flat serves.
Continental Grip: THE OPTIMAL SERVE GRIP! Works well for all serves.
Eastern Backhand Grip: I recommend switching to a continental grip since all 3 serves can be stuck with it; however, the eastern forehand grip can work well on slice serves. Some players struggle to deliver kick serves, and most have a hard time hitting flat with the eastern backhand grip.
