One of the most talented and successful hairdressers in the world, Nick is the owner of Arrojo Salon, is often featured on What Not to Wear, and helped bring about The Masters of Beauty Tour.

Nick talked with the students about their future and gave them tips on how to become successful cosmetologists. He calls cosmetology "the best job in the world." The students were ecstatic that Nick was willing to take time out of his busy schedule and meet with them before getting back to The Masters of Beauty Tour.

Also in Phoenix, Empire has been training cosmetologists about the unfortunate reality of domestic abuse. Those who attended Phoenix's Masters of Beauty Tour stop were invited to a special presentation of the Arizona Coalition Against Domestic Violence. The training offered hairdressers some tips and insight as to how to deal with clients who may confide in them, revealing that the client is in an abusive situation. This training is part of a nation-wide and industry-wide program called Cut It Out. The aim is to train hairdressers about the signs of domestic violence and provide resources so that their clients can seek the help they desperately need.
