In one of the greatest, most precise, and most sweeping prophetic passages (Daniel 9:24-27), God explains that ALL HUMAN HISTORY swirls around the Jewish people God has chosen, called Israel, and the city God has chosen called Jerusalem. God’s prophetic Word in Daniel 9 is directed at the future of Israel—not the church. In God’s Word, more than 75 percent of all prophecies (fulfilled and not yet fulfilled) are about the future of Israel. His Word always has and always will focus on Israel. In his epistle to the Romans, Paul reminded the church of this when he warned them to not forget that they are grafted into the tree, Israel (Romans 11:11-36).
