Federal employee layoffs affecting Utahns, resources available; Lawmakers react to layoffs

Описание: Federal employment layoffs due to DOGE recommended cuts have begun affecting federal workers in Utah, like those employed by the IRS in Ogden. One married couple is doubly affected by the layoffs, since they both worked for the IRS. While about 100 people have been estimated for the layoffs in Ogden, the Utah Department of Workforce Services is striving to be there for those re-entering the job market.

Utah lawmakers are also reacting to the layoffs, with opinions on both sides.
