For Piia and Chad Huson and their three young boys Niklas, Aleksi, and Jere, the entryway in their home has become a dumping ground for bags, jackets, shoes and sports equipment. Upon entering the Huson home, guests are greeted with piles of clutter, and a hectic wall of school assignments and papers.

Thanks to the IKEA Home Tour Squad and some clever entryway furniture solutions, the Husons no longer have to be embarrassed to have people over! To help get the shoes off the floor, the Squad chose the easily accessible STÄLL shoe cabinet, which can fit 18 pairs of shoes. The stackable LIXHULT cabinets were perfect for general entryway storage because they're available in multiple sizes and colors, and can be arranged to fit the space. In Minnesota, winter coats are a must-have that can also take up a lot of space when they're not being used. The Squad gave the Husons SAMLA boxes to organize winter accessories and store them out of sight, and pull-out TROFAST bins in the closet to help keep muddy boots off the floor. Having a place for their sons to display and manage school work was important for Piia and Chad, so the Squad installed a STUVA storage system with three floating cabinets and three pull-out drawers for ease of access. Now the Husons can take advantage of their ultra-organized entryway and get in and out of their home in a breeze!
