Day Three - Arwah Caves!
Arwah Cave is located in the East Khasi Hills near Sohra (Cherrapunji). It is famous for ancient limestone formations, fossils, and underground streams.
Millions of years ago, the region was submerged under a shallow sea. Over time, shell, corals and marine organisms settled on the seabed and slowly turned into limestone rock. Due to powerful Geological movements, these seabed layers were pushed upward, forming the hills of Meghalaya.
