"We very much appreciate the situation our brothers in Lebanon are facing, such as the surrounding crises. We also appreciate the policy our Lebanese brothers follow regarding regional issues. We understand this situation and we also understand the humanitarian role that Lebanon plays by hosting and receiving warmly the (Syrian) refugees who are displaced by the wars. We reaffirm the support of the State of Qatar for Lebanon in this regard."

STORYLINE:
Qatar's Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Al Thani met senior Lebanese officials in Beirut on Wednesday, including Parliament speaker Nabih Berri and the newly elected President Michel Aoun.
Al Thani and his Lebanese counterpart Gebran Bassil discussed bilateral relations and the latest developments in the region, including the refugees crisis.
