CNA competency test --
In Alabama, the candidate must pass a written or oral examination and a skills evaluation testing both the fundamentals of nursing and clinical knowledge.

Requirements to stay active on the registry:
You must contact the Nurse Aide Registry and verify your employment at least once every two years to remain in active status.
