HS2 Stoke Mandeville Area Bridge & Works - Drone Footage

Описание: This is a short Drone footage video of the HS2 works near Stoke Mandeville Area, Aylesbury. This is mostly the bridge and what you can see. This is not as big or much as oxford road HS2 but did a little bit here. Not sure much will come of that bridge in Stoke Mandeville. Someone suggested to me it is a temporary bridge.

When I was doing the Ayl Police Station drone audit, a local postie there asked if I could get some video of the HS2 bridge etc in the Stoke Mandeville Area. Unfortunately this area is in a restricted zone, unlike HS2 Oxford road. The whole bridge and where you see the HS2 workings going on, is right in the RAF Halton zone. So I had to fly further away and just outside the RAF Restriction zone. I was limited on how and what footage I could get as I could not fly very far, without going into the NFZ.

So no super close up shots I’m afraid but I do pan back and forth and use zoom at times as well and a quick spin around. So video is a lot shorter that my other one as could only do so much.

I did try to seek permission to fly inside the Red RAF zone but was refused permission to do so. I did have a friendly chat with RAF Halton. I was told they don’t allow drone flights inside their Red RAF zone unless you are a commercial drone Pilot and have relevant commercial insurance etc. Still some good drone footage but just very limited unfortunately. Best I could do.

That whole area and ever further over, is all in a the restricted RAF zone. So wont be able to do any more in that area than I have done. RAF zones are even harder to get permission than your standard aerodrome.
