Got 2 hours to kill, got $150, want a feed of Western Australia red Rock Lobster? If you answered yes, then if you are in the neighbourhood, Geraldton, you could do far worse than spending some time with Kim and Natalie.
To be frank, we were only just south of town and, as you will see in the vid, we were not too far off shore. For sure, there was plenty of swell, but the boat was large and comfortable.
Natalie was a wealth of information all about Lobster. Kim, well, he was an okay skipper and reasonable lobster fisherman (lol).
Fishing regs limit the number of lobster that can be caught in any charter to 40, and limit the number of lobster each person may have in their possession to 8. So the boss and I walked away with 16 lobster averaging about 500-550 grams each. You can do the math and determine if the $300 (for the both of us) was bang for buck.
The Boss though, she thought it was beaut just getting out and absorbing the information Natalie was sharing. Would I do it again, absolutely.
