An Overview of E-Waste in the Basel Convention (Circular Economy Webinar Series Session 30)

This webinar covered various aspects of electronic and electrical wastes, or e-wastes, in the context of the Basel Convention on the Control of Transboundary Movements of Hazardous Wastes and Their Disposal. Carla Valle-Klann and Tatiana Terekhova, experts from the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), presented information on how e-waste was reflected in the convention and the activities that parties to the convention had been working on, such as partnerships, guidelines, and inventories. The webinar also provided an opportunity to discuss the impacts of e-waste in the circular economy.
