Delhi: Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi addressed the Cavalry Seminar 2025, highlighting the rapid evolution of warfare and the transformative role of technology.
He said, “As far as the call in battle or in the cavalry is concerned, it started with a war trumpet before a charge, then moved to radio communication, to the buzz of satellite links, to the hum of a drone, and now to the flash of a data packet across networks.”
Discussing future strategies, Gen Dwivedi added, “Looking ahead to 2032, the Rocket Force will be a game changer. Armoured formations would be akin to a Carrier Battle Group.”
