LASD Homicide Lieutenant De Jong, along with the Homicide Bureau, is seeking the public’s help in identifying and locating the suspects responsible for the murder of Lanai Dees.
The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for her murder.
On Sunday, November 17, 2024, at approximately 12:40 a.m., 21-year-old Lanai Dees was shot as she drove her vehicle westbound in the south alley of Century Boulevard, west of South Wilton Place in the city of Los Angeles. After being struck by gunfire, Victim Lanai crashed into a concrete staircase in the alley and tragically died from her injuries at the scene. The suspects involved fled the scene.
