How to Refill Windshield Washer Fluid - Hyundai Elantra (2017-2018)

Knowing how to refill windshield washer fluid is a handy trick to know that will be useful as you own/operate the 2017 Hyundai Elantra / 2018 Hyundai Elantra.

1. 00:12 Make sure the vehicle is parked and engine is turned off.
2. 00:22 Release the hood latch from inside the vehicle. The release lever is right by where the driver's left foot rests. There is a small with the car (with an open hood) printed on that lever. Pull on it lightly.
3. 00:39 Now go around to the front of the car and release the secondary hood release latch. The secondary release lever is right on top of where the Hyundai "H" logo is. Put couple of fingers in it and lift it up. This should release the lever and hood can now be opened. This vehicle has a support rod to secure the hood in place. That rod has a yellow end to it. Grab it and secure it to the hood. There is a slot on the hood with an arrow pointed towards it which indicates where the support rod should go.
4. 01:08 Now locate windshield washer fluid reservoir. As you are facing the car, it should be on your left side. There is a blue cap on the windshield washer fluid reservoir. Flip open the cap.
5. 01:45 Open the Windshield washer fluid bottle (Often you would need to press the cap down or squeeze the cap AND then turn it LEFT). Make sure you completely take off the protective seal on it or else it would cause air bubbles as you are pouring the fluid and thus cause spillage.
6. 02:05 Fill up the reservoir. Close the hood and slam it shut.
