A capacitive stud detector implemented using a nulling bridge. Not an edge-finder I'm afraid, just a basic move back and forwards to peak the response at the centre of the stud kind... Might be more overkill that is really needed, a simple capacitive divider might work if the sensitivity of the null detector was more adjustable, but the general approach can be used to measure any impedance at RF.
