Dr. Hassan, a retired doctor in Terengganu, Malaysia, learns he has early onset Alzheimer’s. After a near-fatal accident, he calls his estranged son, Imran, home. Hassan overhears Imran and his wife Rina arguing about his care and discovers Imran is not a practising Muslim. Enraged, Hassan storms out and gets lost. Imran finds him at the beach, triggering memories of their strained relationship. Hassan asks Imran to stay, leading them to confront past issues. When Hassan almost drowns, Imran is devastated, but Hassan doesn’t remember him. Imran uncovers the trauma that shaped Hassan, leading to a poignant reconciliation. MEMORI is an emotional slice of life film which has the complexities of human relationships and a ticking clock of a life ending of a loved one. This film is also based on true events which the director and producer of this film have witnessed first-hand.
