This Short features the beloved Bam Bam sequence from the Appalachian clogging routine, Big John, choreographed by Sheila Graziano and named after the tune Big John McNeil. The dance was originally choreographed in the 1990s to a specific arrangement of Big John McNeil for the Saline Fiddlers Philharmonic @salinefiddlersphilharmonic3114 and has been taught to many of their dancers over the years in addition to members of the CDC.

This was the 21st year the group has performed at the Michigan Celtic Festival, formerly known as the Saline Celtic Festival.

The CommonWealth Dance Collective is an ensemble based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, dedicated to preserving and performing traditional percussive dance styles. Our repertoire includes Appalachian clogging, Irish and Sean Nos dancing, Canadian step dancing, English clog dancing, tap dance, and historical Vaudeville-era Marley dances.
