Review: Dupli Color Bumper Coating

It is a rubberized coating which dries very smooth without a textured finish. This product was applied to the body components on a 1984 BMW 733i.

It's not a typical rubber coating that feels sticky or your fingers will drag on to the touch. I also wanted a product that would match the factory/OEM finish and it has been able to do that. It dries to a satin finish. The product is very durable against any bird droppings or bugs which are known to stain paint when left on for longer periods of time. The product has also been able to withstand stone chips. There is some very very light pin sized chips at the backside under the trim where it is exposed to the back wheel. With the car being exposed to the sun, the product has also maintained its finish and shine, there hasn't been any fading. There is a couple downfalls with the product which need to be addressed during the painting process or once it is curing. The surface does need to be prepped very well removing any imperfection, I have other paints in the past to fill in any very light imperfections such as scratches or chips, this product does not do that. Also make sure the product does say away from water, as shown in the video it did rain after about a week the paint was laid and left some minor stains. The rear bumper trim which is the oldest part that was refinished using this product on the car was done May 2013. The mirrors and front bumper was done later, September 2013.
