The Big Boat Build are rebuilding the Auxiliary Ketch ILEN in Old Court, near Baltimore, West Cork. She is Ireland's largest, original, wooden, sailing ship. While the Shipwrights progress her main structure, our ship's joiners work on fittings like her deckhouses and spars in the AK Ilen Wooden Boat Building School in Limerick. If you wish, you can come and see the first completed deckhouse which is stored, for the time being, at ILEN in Limerick.
The West Cork Development Partnership supported this project though the LEADER programme.
